Do you provide "wages" to the children that they want to do the job on a daily basis at home, such as sweep, MOP, wash dishes, and more?
It turns out, as it was written by William Sears, m.d., in his book, The Successful Child pay kids to do the job on a daily basis tend to give rise to the impression, if children do not want money, they are not obliged to do the job on a daily basis.
In fact, the family daily work should be seen correctly, i.e., as a contribution to the child to the family. Help other family members in doing homework is not an option for the child.
The reason, any contribution which child do to help the smooth running of the family means giving confidence, self-esteem, independence, pride, achievement, and essential life skills mastery to the children. Parents need to teach responsibility, contribute, through cooperation to homework, tanppa dangle reward.
